Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater for a growing metal manufacturing company in Fresno, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of powder coating experience and a strong understanding of surface preparation, powder application, curing processes, and quality control. This position plays an essential role in producing high-quality finished metal products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting surfaces.
• Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment.
• Operate curing ovens and monitor temperatures to ensure proper finish quality.
• Inspect finished products for defects, proper coverage, color consistency, and quality standards.
• Perform touch-ups and rework as needed.
• Read and follow work orders, specifications, and production schedules.
• Maintain powder coating equipment and work areas.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while wearing required PPE.
• Assist with material handling and movement of parts throughout the production process

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of powder coating experience is required.
• Previous experience in a metal manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Knowledge of powder coating techniques, equipment, and curing processes.
• Ability to identify and correct coating defects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
